On Friday, August 17th, the United Way of Davidson County participated in the Uptown Lexington Summer Stroll. We had a blast interacting with our community and making slime with our new friends!
On Thursday, July 19th the United Way held a special training for their Employee Campaign Coordinators at Unity United Methodist Church in Thomasville.
This training walked volunteers through a series of "steps to a successful United Way campaign". At the conclusion of the training, United Way supporters joined the volunteers to celebrate the United Way campaign kickoff. The United Way's campaign kicks off on Wednesday, August 1st. This year's goal is $1.4 million dollars.

The United Way of Davidson County held it's Annual Board Retreat on Thursday, March 22, 2018. Lexington Home Brands hosted the meeting. The Board spent the day working together to develop action steps that align with our strategic plan to carry us through the next year.
On Thursday, March 15, 2018 The United Way of Davidson County held their Annual Meeting at the Rittling Conference Center on the Campus of Davidson County Community College.

On Wednesday, January 24 Emerging Leader Society members gathered for the kick off event. Members enjoyed hanging out at Bull City Ciderworks, a friendly cornhole competition and some delicious food. On Tuesday, December 19 ten finalist gathered for the Jerry Hunt Supercenter United Way car giveaway. Ken Crews, United Way Board Chair served as the emcee for the reverse raffle. Todd and Jodi Hunt drew out the names for the prizes. The winner of the 2016 Chrysler 200 was Tammy Sholtz from Mountcastle Insurance!
